Absinthium has been known since ancient times, since the ancient Egyptians. According to Pliny the Elder (1st century, AD), the priests of the goddess Isis wore absinthium branches at the ceremonies, its secret name being “ the eagle heart”.
Dioscorides (1st century, AD) named it somi, but with the name of saam it was already present in the famous Papyrus Ebers more than 3,500 years ago (1600 BC).
In Thrace it was prepared as a wine considered very healthy.
Over time, it has also received the recognition of doctors, its many beneficial properties being mentioned in specialized treatises.

Pelin

Absinthium Artemisia absinthium L.(fam. Asteraceae).

 

Mod Administrare

Drink 2 cups of tea per day, before a meal.
Duration of treatment: 2 weeks. Treatment can be repeated after a one month break.
Do not exceed the recommended dose and administration period.
Preparation: Pour 200 ml of boiling water over one teaspoon of herb and leave it for 10-15 minutes, then filter it.
Warnings: Not recommended in case of hyperacid gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcer, epilepsy and in case of hypersensitivity to this herb.
This tea is not recommended for pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.
